Discover the easy and meditative art of Japanese SAORI weaving in this immersive, fun and creative class, with passionate and accredited SAORI teacher, Prue Simmons.You will learn the unique philosophy and rich history of this Japanese weaving style, then immerse yourself in colour, texture and some easy weaving techniques to create your handwoven scarf, wall hanging or table runner.
No previous weaving experience is necessary – you will learn how to start weaving your own piece straightaway and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of creativity at the loom! Then take home your woven piece to cherish!
All materials are provided and the looms are threaded up and ready to go – just come along with your enthusiasm for experimental creativity!
