Join me for a wonderfully festive watercolour workshop as we paint Santa’s Little Helper — an adorable dachshund making his way through the snow with a very special Christmas delivery!
I’ll guide you step by step through the painting, from creating the soft, wet-in-wet winter background to building the warm colours and character of our little dog. We’ll then add the festive parcel, rich red ribbon, greenery and berries before finishing with those lovely snowy details that bring the whole scene together.
The painting will be kept loose and expressive, so there’s no need to worry about painting every tiny detail. You’ll learn how to suggest fur with simple brushstrokes, create soft atmospheric washes and use stronger colour only where we want to draw the eye.
This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced painters, and everyone will work at their own pace with plenty of help and demonstrations along the way.
All materials are provided, so simply come along, enjoy a relaxed and friendly few hours of painting, and leave with your own festive watercolour ready to display at Christmas.
No previous watercolour experience is necessary — just come and join the festive fun!
