Join me on Sunday, June 28 at the New Haven Museum for a LITerary discussion with these dynamic Women and their books AND
The iconic Woman Writer Sandra Cisneros “The House on Mango Street”
Four of contemporary literature's most vital voices come together to examine race, citizenship, and what it means to write yourself into a national story that has not always made room for you. Victoria Buitron, Zakiya Dalila Harris, Christine Kandic Torres, and Krystal Marquis bring distinct yet resonant perspectives on home, displacement, and identity—and together they explore how literature can challenge, expand, and complicate our understanding of who America is, and who it is still becoming.
Each of these books show the impact of Black and Brown Women of the Diaspora’s stories of our resilience and how we all have had to endure so much while staying true to our roots, maintaining our authentic selves!
Get the books and come through on Saturday June 28
