Join Shannon Milliman at the TVMA for …Let’s Write (Together)!This isn’t a class. It’s a gathering. A come-as-you-are kind of space where writing is a tool for connection, reflection, and maybe even a little transformation. Your unique expression amazes and we can’t wait to hear and experience your expressive words.
In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll write to:
Spark ideas that have been waiting patiently for us
Discover our expressive voices (even the quiet ones)
Use words to make sense of the beautiful mess of being human
Every prompt is an open door. There’s no right or wrong way to walk through it. We’re not here to impress – we’re here to express. For these two hours, we’ll kindly ask judgment to wait outside while we explore, share, and listen with open hearts.
Whether you write daily or haven’t picked up a pen in years, you’re welcome. We’ll laugh, maybe tear up a little, and definitely surprise ourselves. This is writing as community, as care, as a way to say: “I see you,” “my voice is valuable,” “your voice is interesting.” “Wow!” We will part with more tools for processing the difficult things in life. We welcome the dark because without it, there is no light.
Let’s write like neighbors swapping stories on a porch swing. We will write from prompts, try a braided writing prompt, listen, share, uplift.

Bio:
Shannon Milliman, facilitator, is a performance artist, poet, and founder of Remembrara, a storytelling project that helps people capture their memories before they drift off like forgotten dreams. Her work spans essays, plays, and poetry, including her recent collection What If God Is? What If I Am? published by 7 Points Press. She performs her original one-woman show Not So Supernova, blending humor, heart, and cosmic curiosity. Shannon writes and performs with soul, heart, and body – because anything less just wouldn’t be her. She is here to celebrate the light in you and to nudge you in unexpected ways to shine the brilliant light within you. And you. And you, too
