Samhain Ritual

Join Horizon Pagans as we celebrate Samhain, the festival to honor our ancestors and those we have lost over the past year. Samhain occurs at the mid-point between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, and is a time when the veil between the living and the dead grows thin. We gather, using this precious moment to honor, celebrate, feast, and hold hands with those that have passed before us. We honor our ancestors, dance by the bonfire (weather permitting), say goodbye to the past year, and prepare to manifest our coming blessings. 

Please bring: 

• a photo or a memory to share in remembrance of those you have lost
• a dish to share for the potluck dinner after the ritual 
• a camp chair and/or blanket if you might like to sit outside around a fire after clean-up 

Optional: dress in black or the colors you associate with death.

All ages are welcome at our family-friendly events, including children under adult supervision. Childcare is also provided.

Ritual begins at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall or Labyrinth, depending on the weather.
