It’s time for our third seasonal intensive and social dance hosted by Switchcraft; a team put together by Britni Weaver and Rebecca Murdock to spread their love of Switching and Stealing to Westies across Dallas!
Join us for a fun-packed day where you will learn the basics and beyond of Switching and Stealing in a safe and encouraging environment!
Participate in Intro and Advanced lessons for both skills - Grow your community through shared experiences - Play seasonal themed games - And stick around for a glow-in-the-dark Switch & Steal Social dance!!
🗓️Schedule
~4:30pm Intro to Switches & Steals
An introduction to the elements and etiquette of Steals, and an introduction to the fundamental techniques of your non-dominant role and switching within West Coast Swing. You will learn how to spot ideal opportunities to steal in to the next birthday dance or steal jam and execute them with confidence!
You will also learn a set of low-risk high-reward switches you can use on any social floor.
~6:00pm Dinner Break Community Time!
Grab dinner nearby or hang out with us for some fun games!
~7pm Spine-Tingling Switches
You'll learn a series of Advanced Partnered switch moves that will have you nailing your social switches and growing in both roles! This builds off the previous skills learned in Intro Class so you'll feel prepared no matter how long you've been Switching!
~8pm Spooky Steals
Want to learn how to create your own entrances in to steals dances? This advanced class will help you recognize new connections and windows to join the steals game. Emphasis will be placed on steals for Leads & Follows!
~9pm Switches & Steals Glow Social!
Join us for an inclusive social where you can Switch, Steal, or just dance WCS to some great music! Glow necklaces will be provided to wear as a signal that you are open to stealing. Throughout the night you can lead, follow, switch and/or steal. Make this social what you want it to be!

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️ Who can attend?
Intro classes require that you know your fundamental patterns and basics in at least 1 role. You DO NOT need to know how to lead AND follow already!
Advanced classes require that you have switched before OR attended the Intro lessons earlier in the day.
Why not check out the intro classes? You always learn something new when you review your basics and you'll meet and bond with new switch/steal dancers interested in the same mischief as you!
