These ships arrived at Port Adelaide 4 days apart at the end of July 1846. The voyages took 94 days and 98 days respectively. This was the Canton’s second voyage to SA (we won’t be reviewing her first arrival in 1838) and her passengers were mainly free emigrants, including 100 female servants. The Medway was a new ship and this was her first voyage to South Australia.
