On Sunday 19th April, 'Meanwhile...Back At The Ranch' return to The Wheatsheaf stage 'Spurs' (Philip Bray) will be joining us as a multi-instrumentalist, adding new colour and variety to the repertoire. Meanwhile… Back At The Ranch delivers a contemporary version of the eclectic Western Swing style that swept through the South Western states of America in the swing era of the 1930’s -1940’s. The band takes an entertaining approach to this rich genre that embraces elements of swing, country, hillbilly boogie, jazz, and jump blues. Sometimes also known as Texas Swing, it’s at its best when performed with guitars, fiddles, double bass and big hats!
