Celebrate the return of Fall with a scenic Architectural River Cruise through DC, featuring live guided commentary, networking, an open bar, and sandwiches from CAPO Deli.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind architectural river cruise through the heart of Washington, DC. Limited to just 60 participants, this live guided tour offers 1 PDH and 1 AIA credit and delivers a rich narrative of the Federal City’s architectural and historical evolution—all from the deck of a boat sailing along the Potomac River.
Departing from the Georgetown Waterfront, this two-hour experience includes live commentary from a knowledgeable guide from DC Design Tours. You’ll cruise past DC’s most iconic landmarks including the Lincoln Memorial, Kennedy Center, and Pentagon, while also uncovering hidden gems like the C&O Canal and the Titanic Memorial.
Arrive by 2:30 pm for check-in. The boat will leave promptly at 3:00 pm. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the capital’s past, present, and future from the water.

Architectural River Cruise
See Washington DC’s architectural icons, gain an in-depth understanding of the city’s rich and tumultuous history, and enjoy the Federal Capital from a unique vantage point sailing along the Potomac River.Casting off from Georgetown with your expert architecture guide from DC Design Tours and professional crew, your cruise will sail down the Potomac River and up the Washington Channel. With live guided commentary, enjoy views of the Francis Scott Key Bridge and Georgetown Waterfront, sail past Teddy Roosevelt Island, under the Arlington Memorial Bridge, and along the National Mall and Tidal Basin, and into the new DC Wharf.
Passengers will learn all about the area’s architectural and historical gems—like the Watergate Hotel, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Pentagon, and Kennedy Center— and some lesser-known fascinating landmarks, like the C&O Canal, Lyndon Baines Johnson Grove, Titanic Memorial, Navy-Merchant Marine Memorial, and more.

All attendees receive tickets to the Architectural River Cruise Yacht with open bar; soda and water complimentary; and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Attendees can opt-in to be included in event attendee list sent after the event to all registered ticket holders with your 1 hour PDH and/or AIA LU. All tickets, including ticket holder transfers, include a non-refundable $12 fee.

TICKET REFUNDS & TRANSFERS
Ticket are refundable and transferrable up to 4 days before the event (Friday, October 3 at 5 pm ET). All refunds and transfer requests include a non-refundable $12 fee. * This event will be held rain or shine. The yacht has enclosed water-level views with perimeter bench seating and above deck open air viewing. A PA system will provide commentary throughout the yacht to hear about the landmarks in view.
Note for Government / Non-Profit / Fully Retired rate:
Government rate is only for current DOD (Department of Defense), VA (Veteran Affairs) and other civilian Federal Government Agency employees representing their government agency at the event. Registrant will need to register with a “.gov” or “.mil” email domain. Registration without the “.gov” or “.mil” email domain will be cancelled. Consultants for a government agency should NOT use this ticket to register, even if you have a government email address, unless you are directly representing the government agency at this event.
Non-profit rate is for those representing a non-profit organization, such as an industry representative or academic institution as an attendee. Students who are full-time at their institution and not representing a firm or organization as an intern can use the non-profit rate.
