SAME August Campers Lunch & General Membership Meeting
Join us and hear reports from our Houston Engineer Camp attendees at the Junior League of Houston, 1811 Briar Oaks Ln, Houston, Texas 77027.
Our special keynote speaker will be Matthew Cushing, Executive Director for the Rice Center for STEM Engagement.
Note: Walk-ins are welcome, but will be required to pay non-member prices ($60) except public agency representatives, whose price remains the same ($15). Due to the size of the Tea Room, walk-ins will be limited. Please register by 5 pm August 5 to avoid the $5 late registration fee.

The SAME Houston-Galveston Post is honored to welcome Matthew Cushing, Executive Director of the Rice University Office of STEM Engagement, as our keynote speaker for the Engineering & Construction STEM Campers Luncheon.
Matthew is a recognized STEM leader dedicated to building strong connections between research, education, industry, and community partnerships. Through collaboration with university faculty, K–12 educators, school districts, and organizations, he develops innovative programs that expand access to STEM education and prepare students for the rapidly evolving workforce.
With a diverse career spanning classroom education, educational technology, computer science, engineering outreach, and strategic STEM initiatives, Matthew brings a unique perspective on inspiring future innovators while strengthening the STEM pipeline. His passion for mentorship, hands-on learning, and real-world applications continues to empower students, educators, and professionals.
