Samba with Live Drumming – Passista Style!
Fridays, October 3, 10, 17 & 24 | 7:30–9:00 PM

Step into the heartbeat of Brazil this October with a special Samba series featuring live drumming! This four-class series is a collaboration between native Brazilian Samba dancer Luciana da Silva and Samba New York.

Open to all levels, these dynamic classes focus on the art of the Passista style—the glamorous and powerful solo dancers of Rio’s Carnaval. You’ll learn:
Traditional Passista etiquette in Brazil
Technique, posture, and stamina drills
Travelling and combo steps
Body awareness and flow

Be ready to sweat, build endurance, gain confidence, and celebrate community—all while having fun and making friends!

Special Bonus: These classes will prepare students who wish to perform with Luciana and Samba New York in the NYC Halloween Parade on October 31st.
Costumes will be discussed in classes.
