Saluysuy: Mabyay ya Kultudan Ayta
Pámandúlap Singsing
with
IPS Benny Capuno
In this era of decolonization, Christianity is now seen by a number of indigenous nations as a tool of oppression used by the Western Imperialists to suppress, if not destroy, native cultures. In order to survive, people either submitted to the colonial powers and accepted Christianity, or continued to resist and reject Christianity in order to preserve their traditional way of life.
However, IPS Benny Capuno, a Christian Evangelical pastor and a culture-bearer of the Ayta Mag-Indi nation managed to preserve their Ayta tradition, beliefs and practices side by side with the teachings of Christianity. How did he do it?
In this segment of our Pámandúlap Singsing breakfast forum, come and join us to sit with Pastor Benny in sharing his insights, inspirations and understanding of indigenous wisdom vis-a-vis Christian teachings.
The medium will be mostly in the Kapampángan Language mixed with Tagalog, Ayta Mag-Indi and English.
FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC.
