Bród (Pride) is upon us and to make it extra special your favourite bilingual//dátheangeach and bisexual//déghnéasach literary salon has themed up with Bewleys Presents to bring you a Pride Xtravaganza.
Every had a meltdown in a gay club? Wondered what to call your bits as Gaeilge? Thought about your best friends’ body? Well then Bewleys Presents X Salon Rógaire: Bodies is for you.
Salon Rógaire is decamping to the Parisian inspired environs of Bewleys Café Theatre to bring you a night of queer joy, lust, anxiety and learning. Think the best parts of France (a laissez-faire attitude towards monogamy, matte red lips, a natty little scarf, the ability to riot at the drop of a beret) combined with the best parts of Ireland (ár teanga dúchas, a sense of humour, Grafton Street after dark when it’s just you, some luxury shops and that one busker singing their heart out, an unbelievably thriving literary scene etc) and you have both the vibe and the dress code for the evening.
There will be poetry, prose, learning, filíocht, perhaps a bit of queer match-making and a full bar serving three signature cocktails. This is the perfect way to ease yourself into the chaotic wonderfulness that are the Pride blockbuster weekends.
