We are approaching the end of the 2024-25 Salon Reading Series --only TWO more readings in the Season! Our Apri Reading is WASABIA by Wendy Herlich. Come here this NEW play just as it opens for its World Premiere at Centenary Stage Company in Hackettstown, NJ!!Our 2024-25 Season explores plays surrounding the theme "Hold On" This season invites audiences to explore the human instinct to hold on—whether to the past, for a brighter future, or to our own lives and beliefs. Through a series of compelling new plays, ATC presents characters grappling with the decision to hold on or let go. And, no play encapsulates this theme better than WASABIA! Join us for a new play and of course, stay for the legendary conversation.
Wendy Herlich's dark comedy is only on Sunday April 6th at Turbine Flats @ 2:00 PM.. The play is directed by Deanna Walz.

Synopsis:
Vivian, staring down the barrel of dementia, and Carla, desperate to shine as a young hospice volunteer, strike up an unlikely friendship, which is thrown into question when Vivian enlists Carla’s help in getting life-ending drugs from a hapless musician. The drugs themselves are characters in this dark comedy, which alternates between naturalism and the surreal as it explores one woman’s experience with medically assisted dying.
