The Walk to Fight Hunger (WTFH) returns this year, and we are excited to share that this year’s event is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the life and legacy of beloved board member and community advocate, the late Sally Hill Kauffmann. Sally’s passion, leadership, and commitment were instrumental in shaping the Walk to Fight Hunger and inspiring our community to come together in service of our neighbors.WTFH is a family-friendly event designed to raise awareness and generate critical funds to support the Food Bank of the Lakelands programs, including our Soup Kitchen, which address food insecurity throughout the communities we serve. Through your sponsorship, hundreds of nutritious meals—featuring fresh produce, vegetables, protein, and water—can be provided to more than 9,000 neighbors facing food insecurity, while supporting the preparation of more than 27,000 hot meals served annually through our Soup Kitchen. Registration begins at 7:30 am and the walk begins promptly at 8:00 am.
