Two events of the Grand Chess Tour will be held in the Chess Capital of America, Saint Louis, Missouri. The Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz will kick off the events starting on August 11. As the third and final speed chess event of the tour, six full-tour players and four wildcards will battle for a $175,000 prize fund.
The format includes nine rounds of rapid followed by eighteen rounds of blitz, for a total of 135 games played over five days.
