Experience one of the rarest ships in the world while soaking up the sunset and sails on Sydney Harbour.

The Duyfken sail experience is for adults and not designed for children. Children 12 years of age or over are welcome to join if accompanied by an adult. If you are booking for a child 12 years of age or older, please indicate this when you book your tickets in the Eventbrite order.
Please be aware that there is limited seating and reduced head heights below deck on board.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure
- Please gather at the base of the Lighthouse where a member of the Duyfken crew will meet you
- The Duyfken departs from the North Wharf Pontoon of the Maritime Museum
- The sail is 3 hours in duration, with the vessel arriving back at the museum
- Flat shoes are recommended (no high heels)
- We recommend bringing a warm jacket in case of cooler weather
- Professional and experienced volunteer crew will be on board to operate the ship so you are free to sit back and enjoy the experience
- In case of bad weather, sails may need to be cancelled. You will be informed via email 24 hours prior to departure if this occurs
- This sail is pitched to an adult audience and not designed for children. However, children over 12 years of age are welcome to join if accompanied by an adult.
- Please be aware that there is limited seating and reduced head heights below deck on board.
Duyken sailing passengers get $15 all-day validated parking at Wilson Parking, Harbourside Carpark (not Novotel parking), 100 Murray Street, Pyrmont.
Please validate your parking ticket at the museum ticket desk in the main museum building before boarding Duyflen. The museum is closed when the sail finishes, and parking tickets cannot be validated then.
Duyfken was built by the Duyfken 1606 Replica Foundation jointly with the Maritime Musuem of Western Australian and launched on 24 January 1999 in Fremantle.
COVID-19 Flexible Booking
Please note if you wish to cancel your tickets after purchase for health and safety reasons, the museum will provide flexibility to re-book for a future event.
The museum reserves the right to cancel a sail if the minimum sailing number of six passengers is not met. In such cases, the museum will either re-schedule tickets to another sail or provide a full refund.
