The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra returns to the Majestic Theater for a special screening of Harold Lloyd’s Safety Last! while performing the rare, original 1923 score live from the pit!
Lloyd’s Safety Last! tells the story of a young department store clerk who leaves his small country town and heads to the big city to get a job. As soon as he makes it big, his sweetheart will join him and marry him. For more than one-hundred years, the iconic “man hanging from the clock” scene (which takes place alongside a Majestic Theater!) has transcended generations of film lovers and will be shown on the Majestic’s big screen in the historic Main Hall!
With 765 screenings across 48 States and 7 countries to its credit, The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is one of the world’s foremost silent film accompanists. From Hollywood (the American Cinematheque) to Chicago (the Ravinia Festival) to New York (Lincoln Center) – PRO leads the way in designing, producing, and performing silent film programs for delighted modern audiences of all ages.
