About this Event

Join us for a Safeguarding Adults Training session.

This session is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to protect adults at risk and uphold their rights.

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and understanding how to identify concerns, respond appropriately, and follow correct procedures is critical for ensuring safety and well-being.

This session covers the essentials of safeguarding adults, including:

  • What safeguarding is and who it applies to
  • Types of abuse and key signs to look for
  • How to respond to concerns or disclosures
  • Reporting procedures and recording expectations
  • Roles, responsibilities, and the legal framework (Care Act, MCA)

By the end of this training, participants will feel confident in recognising risks, taking protective actions, and following the correct safeguarding processes to support adults in need.

Cost: This training session will cost £10 per participant to cover the cost of room hire and refreshments.

Who can attend this training: This session is for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Organisations who deliver services to vulnerable adults in Leicester or Leicestershire.
