Safeguarding Adults TrainingThis course will develop your knowledge of safeguarding adults, including the principles of capacity and consent, different types of abuse and neglect and how to respond to a disclosure. You will learn the principles of safeguarding and ways to minimise the risk of abuse, as well as the importance of record keeping.

How to identify an adult in need of safeguarding support.
Your legal responsibilities for safeguarding adults under relevant legislation.
The principles of capacity and consent, including how to support decision making and best interests.
What the different types of abuse and neglect are, and how to identify them.
The steps to take to minimise an adult’s risk of abuse or neglect.
How to deal with a safeguarding disclosure and keep accurate records.
The roles of statutory bodies and how they will act following a referral.
