A quiet farewell beneath the Ship of the Fens
Ely Cathedral rises out of the flat fenland like a great ship, crowned by its famous lantern tower. We bring our tour gently to a close in the cathedral's Lady Chapel — the largest in England, and renowned for an acoustic so generous that a single voice seems to hang in the air long after it is sung. There could be no finer setting for a last, unhurried gift of song before the long journey home to Trondheim.
All are welcome to gather and listen.
Musicians:
- Nidarosdomens Guttekor, conducting: Thomas Berg-Juul
- Marilyn Brattskar, organ
