This program prepares all those who work in the foodservice industry and particularly those seeking food protection manager certification for the ANSI-approved Food Protection Manager Certification exam.
Managers successfully completing the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals Certified Professional Food Manager Exam meet the FDA Food Code 2017 requirement for a Certified Food Protection Manager. This certificate not only meets the same requirement in North Carolina but it is also good throughout the United States for five years.
Managers trained in Safe Plates for Food Managers are equipped to create a work environment that minimizes food safety risks in their restaurants, cafeterias, and grocery stores through best practices, open communication, and thoughtful practice.
Safe Plates is taught through case studies, storytelling, activities, and discussion. This class is interactive and encourages participants to engage with the material.
Class fee covers books, exams, and any additional educational materials. Lunch is not included but the class will break for lunch from 12-1 pm.
