Quick note: Apparently FB is showing different times for some people, but the event time is 1PM to 4PM PST.
Sasquatch will have outdoor tables set up under a big white tent in their grassy area and we’re packing the afternoon with: 🔥 Hot BBQ & Cold Drinks 🎶 Music 🛍️ Local Vendors 🎁 and Prize Giveaways! See you there!
Who is Sadie Grimm? A Great Canadian Motorcycle Legend and Hall of Famer, who at just nineteen conquered a challenging 100 KM off-road journey from Winnipeg to Winnipeg Beach on her
1914 Indian Motorcycle. She became the first person ever to complete this formidable trip on two wheels, though many men tried before her!
The Sadie Grimm Legacy Ride is Canada’s answer to the Spirit of International Female Ride Day. The SGLR got its spark in 2017 by the Women Riders Committee of the Coalition of Manitoba Motorcycle Groups and now this celebration continues to hit the pavement every second Sunday in June.
We’re on a mission to ignite a cross-country movement! The engine is already running—now it’s your turn to join the ride! Join women from every city and town to ride, represent, and celebrate!
SGLR - it’s More Than Just a Ride, It's a Canadian Legacy!
While we ride to honor this incredible female pioneer and all Canadian female riders, the road is open to all! We invite everyone to ride alongside us!
A Historical Note:
When Sadie Grimm set out for Winnipeg Beach on June 14, 1914, she wasn't just riding for a gold medal—she was riding for every woman in Canada.
1914 was a turning point. While Nellie McClung was leading the charge in Winnipeg for the political right to vote in Canada, Sadie was proving our physical independence. By conquering the treacherous, mud-clogged trails that had defeated all other riders. Sadie showed Canada and the world that a woman’s place is wherever she chooses to lead.
On June 14, 2026—the 112th anniversary of her victory—we ride to keep that spirit of independence alive!
