All the snow is finally melting and making you miss Dry January? Well then, join us at Pittsburgh's premiere NA popup, Sad Bar, where we can combat seasonal affective together!
Sad Karaoke at Sad Bar? it's a match made in Sad Heaven!
Sing for free and donate to Teetotal Initiative to ensure that dry events can accompany dry eyes and dry bevys.
Signup at 6:30pm, singing starts at 7pm. Come get sad with us.
Da Rules:
1. The songs must be sad. What makes a sad song? You know. We all know. Minor-key tearjerkers mainly. All songs are at the discretion of the hosts. If it’s not sad enough, no dice.
2. No irony. You are here to sing sad songs and be in your feelings. If you are not in the mindset to perform Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can't Make You Love Me” and really MEAN IT, we do not want you at Sad Karaoke.
3. Sign up starts at 7pm. If you really want to belt out "Hopelessly Devoted to You," sign up just like regular karaoke. First come, first sing.
4. Check YouTube to see if your song has a karaoke version, and if so, which one you like. Did you know there's a karaoke version of The Mountain Goats' "This Year"? There is!
5. Please be considerate of other folks. A three minute song is perfect, four minutes is okay, five to six minutes is too much.
6. Singing HIGHLY encouraged. Don't just sit there. Get up and sing. Duets or singing backup count.
