Sacred Sound Bath Journey with Kathryn Watterson to benefit Ferndale Cats

Are current events stressing you out? Join sound alchemist Kathryn Watterson and 35 cats in Catfé Lounge for 90 minutes of sound healing using Tibetan bowls, gongs and chimes.

"My love of cats has been woven through my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had cats at my side since before I could walk — soft purrs and gentle paws guiding me through every chapter. Our first cat, Simon, was pure devotion in fur. My sister and I would argue over who got to sleep beside him, each of us craving the quiet comfort of his warmth and steady purr. He was anything but ordinary — a small, steadfast reminder of love in its simplest form.

That early enchantment with cats shaped the path of my life, leading me into the heart of veterinary medicine. For the past twenty years, I’ve been blessed to share Little Friends of Ferndale Veterinary Care with my dear partner, Dr. Bonnie Burke. Together, we’ve had the privilege of nurturing the bond between people and their beloved companions. Since 2015, our partnership with the Ferndale Cat Shelter has deepened that connection, giving even more cats the care, safety, and affection they deserve.

In recent years, another passion has found me — the healing world of sound and vibrational therapy. To merge this with my lifelong devotion to cats feels like coming full circle: sound, spirit, and feline grace intertwining in harmony.

Cats have always been my teachers — reminding me to move through life with curiosity and wonder, to rest in the present moment, to find joy in sunlight and stillness. They embody reverence without trying, beauty without pretense, and love without condition.

It is a true honor to combine these passions in support of the Ferndale Cat Shelter. I hope you’ll join us for an evening where hearts, vibrations, and feline magic come together — a celebration of healing, presence, and the gentle power of love."
