SACRED SITES
Through projection, installation, dance, and sculpture, our nine artists navigate the current virtual-physical cyborg reality, confronted by a social landscape unrestrained by limitations of distance or capacity. How has the digital plane evolved our images of the divine? Does religion twin or twist our relationship with technology? What practices and artifacts emerge from hybridity? Various mediums explore the tensions between virtual / physical, public / private, and together / alone that create novel sacred sites and rituals.

The Movement Lab is located on the lower level of the Milstein Center at Barnard. Please sign up with the full name on your legal ID as attendees will need to present a photo ID in order to access Barnard campus. More detailed directions will be provided to audience members before the exhibition.
