As autumn begins to surrender to winter, the natural world offers us a quiet lesson in letting go. Trees release the leaves they have carried through the seasons. Flowers fade and grasses turn golden. The earth grows still, preparing for a season of rest. And yet, beneath what appears to be an ending, God is already tending the promise of what will come next.
Join us on November 7 at Lime Creek Nature Center, for Sacred Seasons: A Prayer Walk of Letting Go, a peaceful time outdoors to reflect on the changing season and what it might teach us about our own lives. What are we carrying that God may be inviting us to release? A worry, a hurt, a disappointment, an expectation; or perhaps something that was once good, but whose season has simply passed?
As we walk, we will make several stops along the way for reverent reflection and prayer, allowing the sights and sounds of the season to guide us into moments of stillness with God.
Nature reminds us that letting go is not always about loss. Sometimes it is an act of trust; making room for rest, healing, and whatever God may be preparing to grow in us next.
Come as you are. Walk slowly. Breathe deeply. Notice what is changing around you—and perhaps discover the grace of releasing what you no longer need to carry. 🍁
