Sacred Saplings Kids Herbal Club: Evergreen GuardiansA Winter Herbal Kids’ Class Exploring Pine, Cedar & Forest Magic
Join us for a cozy December session of Sacred Saplings, where we step into the wonder of the winter forest and learn all about the evergreens that stay vibrant and green even in the coldest months! In this hands-on, nature-centered class, children will discover how pine, cedar, and fir trees support winter ecosystems, how trees “talk” through underground mycelial networks, and why evergreens have been cherished for protection, wellness, and resilience across cultures.
Through sensory exploration, storytelling, and simple kid-friendly herbal teachings, students will learn:
• What makes an evergreen an evergreen
• Why these trees stay green all year
• How animals rely on them in winter
• How pine and cedar have been traditionally used for cleansing and wellness
• How trees communicate and share resources through the “Wood Wide Web”
To bring the learning to life, kids will create two beautiful winter crafts to take home: a bath soak ornament that functions as a decoration or a fun, relaxing bath (great for gifts!), and an air-dry clay ornament using gifts from our evergreen friends!
This class blends earth science, herbal wisdom, creativity, and nature appreciation, designed to help children connect with the magic and resilience of the winter world.

Sacred Saplings classes are offered by Sacred Spirit Herbals with donations provided by the community. Please donate what you can to keep these classes affordable for all! All materials are provided.🌿
RSVPs are required to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone. Please submit an RSVP (even a $0 donation) for each child participating. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today! Tickets will automatically close at 7:30 AM on December 20th. This gives us time to prepare the supplies and the space for the class.
