Sacred Fire, Kirtan, Satsang
About this Event
Experience an evening of ancient Vedic tradition, sacred fire, devotional chanting, and spiritual wisdom with visiting monk Swami Aniruddha.
At the heart of this gathering will be Yagna, an ancient sacred fire ceremony in which prayers and offerings are made into the fire while Sanskrit mantras are chanted.
For thousands of years, fire ceremonies have held an important place within the Vedic tradition. The sacred fire becomes a focal point for prayer, offering, purification, gratitude, and connection with the Divine.
Alongside the Yagna, we will come together for joyful kirtan and satsang with Swami Aniruddha, creating an evening that moves between sacred ritual, chanting, contemplation, and community.
ABOUT YAGNA
Yagna is an ancient Vedic fire ceremony in which offerings are made into a sacred fire accompanied by mantra and prayer. Fire, or Agni, holds profound significance within the Vedic tradition and serves symbolically as a bridge between the human and the Divine.
The ceremony creates a space for prayer, gratitude, purification, and offering. Guests are welcome whether they are familiar with Vedic traditions or experiencing a Yagna for the first time.
ABOUT KIRTAN
Kirtan is the devotional practice of chanting the Divine Names together, while satsang is a gathering centered around spiritual truth and wisdom. Together with Yagna, these practices offer different ways of approaching the Divine , through ritual, sacred sound, devotion, and contemplation.
ABOUT SATSANG
Satsang means “gathering in truth.” It is a time to come together in spiritual community, listen to teachings, ask questions, and reflect on the deeper aspects of life and our connection with the Divine.
