An Autumn Sound Ceremony
Join us for an evening of immersive performance, singing, mantra, sound healing, and meditation as Sonic Devas creates a ceremonial experience of community, atmosphere, and deep listening at The Maya in Long Beach.
The evening opens with a wellness marketplace featuring local artisans, makers, and holistic practitioners, along with tea and conversation. Arrive, explore, connect, and take your time before the waterfront space gradually shifts into ceremony.
Sonic Devas is an ensemble of women musicians, vocalists, and sound artists who create the performance together in real time. This special gathering features:

Together, the ensemble weaves layered vocals, mantra and devotional song, singing bowls, flutes, gong, violin, guitar, dulcimer, handpan, ngoni, and expansive soundscapes into long, unhurried passages of music and meditation. Rather than following the structure of a traditional concert, the experience unfolds organically, inviting the room into deeper states of listening, presence, and connection.
Low ambient lighting transforms the space as sound moves throughout the room, creating an atmosphere that feels intimate, spacious, and enveloping as the sun sets over Long Beach Harbor.
Part concert, part meditation, part ceremony, The Listening Temple is an invitation to do less, listen more deeply, and experience what can emerge when we gather together in sound.
