On the last Saturday of November, we’re welcoming a special guest from Greece – Zorz! Supporting him will be the talented artist Flux Magnetic.
Zorz is an alternative grandiose with a solid talent for assessing new musical modes and an inheritor of rare music material. Inspired by the evolution of the early 90's electronic scene in Detroit, Chicago, Birmingham, and Bristol, he has spent the past decade dropping underground DJ sets. Starting with mixing CDs, his passion for analog sound led him to build a respectable vinyl collection, establishing a distinguishable sound character. Experimenting with styles like Industrial, Detroit Techno, Electro, Chicago House, Wave, Breaks, Ambient, and Experimental, Zorz creates unique soundscapes for each dance floor.
He has performed at events, clubs, and festivals across Spain, Greece, and Berlin. Recently, with his mate Kondaktor, he launched a new label called Untag, focusing on experimental music. As a resident DJ of Pi Electronics and Prima Materia and a member of the Reform and Sleazy Beats & Dirty Vibes collectives, Zorz brings his distinct vibes to various events. He also curates Creatures of Light, an internet radio show for Lyl Radio from Lyon, France, sharing his personal taste and inspirations.
Flux Magnetic is the alias of Chris Foti, a techno DJ who has been an integral member of the local rave and club scene since the early 2000s. While originally only a follower of the scene, Chris quietly started collecting music and practicing his DJ sets with some limited equipment at home.
Whilst always remaining dynamic and continuously encapsulating new triggers, he remains firmly rooted in techno. His sound is smoky and atmospheric and usually falls under the ambient techno subcategory. Though he often likes to mix in the reverberated sounds of dub techno and even some minimal influences.
He has shared the booth with Tobias, Amotik, Rene Wise, Deepbass, DJ Maria, Alex Tomb and with some of the locals finest.
