A relaxed evening introducing you to Zazen, the practice of meditation taught in the Zen tradition. Birgitte will give a brief introduction to Zazen and you will be guided in seated and walking meditation. In the end of the practice, we will chant a short text from the Zen tradition and dedicate our practice to those in need. The evening gives you a taste of the traditional Zen buddhist practice and how it can support your life. ABOUT THE TEACHER
Birgitte is trained as a psychologist, yoga teacher and a Zen monk, bringing 3 decades of experience to her work. She started practicing Buddhist meditation in 1992 and is a dedicated Zen student with Genpo Roshi who originated the Big Mind process. She is one of only 2 people in Denmark who offers original Big Mind as taught in Zen. Birgitte has been a front runner in the Danish yoga community since the late 1990íes and hold several certifications in yoga, somatic movement, and trauma therapy. She teaches yoga classes and Sunday Deep workshops in Rört and occasionally offers courses in meditation and Big Mind.
