RVA Bakery Tour

Happy Bike Month 2026! Join us bright and early at Monroe Park for a ride to some of RVA's finest bakeries! This 15-ish mile loop will hit three bakeries: Up All Night Bakery (3.6 miles in), Idle Hands (7.3 miles in), and Janet's (10.4 miles in). Depending on the timing, there might even be a secret fourth/encore stop at the end of the ride.

Logistics

• We expect this ride to last around 2.5-3 hours. This timing accounts for a casual riding pace and time to eat some pastries and socialize at each stop.
• Feel free to get bakeds good and/or drinks at whichever stop(s) you like! There is no obligation to get food/drinks at each bakery.
• We've created a RideWithGPS file for folks to check out the route or use while riding (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54319467)
• We will ride partially on city roads and use bike lanes when possible. Please note that there is a short gravel section (1.5 miles) coming back into the city from south of the river. It is technically doable on road/skinny tires, but use your judgement and do what's best for you! There will also be a couple hills, and we will make sure to regroup as needed.
• There will be at least two group leaders (Madison and Reed) to help guide the group throughout the ride, but we welcome help keeping the group together along the way. We will also make sure to do a safety brief at the beginning of the ride.
• Please make sure you bring a helmet and a back light for safety.
