More than ever, those of us living in rural places are craving social connection, purpose and a sense of belonging. In September, community members gathered at Drastic Measures Brewery in Wadena, MN to share experiences around social isolation, loneliness and mental health.
Join The Sowing Room and Project Optimist as we continue the conversation, expand on what was learned and find solutions for what we can do as Region 5 residents to bring more joy and connection to our places and spaces.
Your voices and ideas will help inspire nearly $40,000 in joy and connection grants for community-led projects across Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties, available through the Initiative Foundation.
