Rueda de Casino classes for ALL LEVELS on Sundays at DownStreet during January-March 2026 💃🇨🇺

Start your 2026 off right by learning something new and fun, why not something that combines dance, group bonding and some Cuban flavour?! Rueda de Casino is exactly what you're looking for then! A dynamic partner-switching dance from Cuba from the 1950s danced to salsa and Timba (Cuban music genre, fusion of son cubano, Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, funk etc) music - guaranteed fun!!

Let's heat up PEI with some Latin and Cuban flavour, especially needed during those cold winter months! 🔥

While this is a group dance where we need an even amount of couples as it includes partner figures/switching, depending on how many new beginners join in, more time will be spent on solo steps to ensure we all get the basics right. No partner is required to join in, but in the event of uneven numbers, some of my more advanced dancers will take turns sitting out the Rueda so that everyone gets the chance to participate and learn equally ✨

No partner or dance experience needed! Drop-ins are allowed, but for more optimized learning I recommend starting during the first class and coming consistently every week till the end of the series (7 weeks) - thank me later! 🙂 If you feel like you need a bit more in-depth understanding of the steps and technique/figures without the partner switching or group moves, my Cuban Salsa (Casino) - Absolute Beginners (5 week series) would be a great fit for you as well!
