Royal Oak City Commission Meeting – Community Attendance (Muffler and Vehicle Noise Issue)There’s been a growing number of residents across Royal Oak and nearby neighborhoods dealing with loud, illegally modified mufflers and vehicles—especially along Woodward and surrounding areas.
This upcoming City Commission meeting is an opportunity for community members to show up, listen, and (if comfortable) make public comment to help bring more attention to the issue.
You don’t need to speak to attend. Just being there helps show that this is affecting a lot of people.
What to expect:
• A regular City Commission meeting (not specific to this issue)
• Public comment period where residents can speak
• A chance to connect with others who are dealing with the same thing
If you’ve been impacted—or just want to support quieter, safer neighborhoods—consider coming out.
Even a small group showing up consistently can make a difference.

As noted by one of our members, there is free parking for city commission meetings in the lot west of the farmers market. The structure also has 2 hour free parking.
