Royal Derby Hospital Library: Exploring Clinical Librarianship

Join us for our Libraries and Information East Midlands tour of Royal Derby Hospital Library. The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Library and Knowledge Service caters to 14,500 staff, 1,300 students, and a selection of other healthcare professionals working in the East Midlands. As one of the larger libraries in the NHS world, the LKS has a very diverse user base and subsequent workload. Come and have a glimpse into the concerns of Clinical Librarianship, and how NHS libraries form an integral part of healthcare education and practice.

The event includes a tour of the library and a talk on the fundamentals of clinical librarianship.

This is part of a day event including a tour of a public library and a hospital library - if you'd like to join us for both please make sure to book a place on both events.
Please note: this event is open to members and non-members, though is specifically targeted to people who work in libraries.
