Rowan Bell Petrusic is a saxophonist and composer whose playing blends deep jazz roots with a cinematic sense of storytelling. His original music unfolds with grit, lyricism, and emotional clarity—drawing listeners into soundscapes that feel both intimate and expansive. He has performed at venues including the National Arts Centre, the Ottawa Jazz Festival, and is an active performer in the city’s jazz scene as a bandleader, solo artist and collaborator. He is joined by bassist Kent Religa Nesrallah, and drummer Quinn Beneteau. As a trio they combine their influences such as John and Alice Coltrane, Miles Davis and Pharoah Sanders with electroacoustic improvisation to create a sound that ranges from aggressive experimental textures, to ethereal ambiance.
