Pimienta delivers a spicy blend of Latin jazz that sizzles with rhythm and soul! The Ottawa-based group is made up of Karen Rauh (piano), Mike Tremblay (saxophone and flute), Mark Fraser (bass), Allyson Rogers (drums), and Jason Sinkus (percussion). For over a decade, Pimienta have been digging deep into the Latin jazz repertoire, pulling out overlooked gems, and adding their own flavour to Cuban, Brazilian, and Latin classics. The group has been featured at local festivals and has performed at many of the region’s premier venues. Known for their dynamic live performances and creative arrangements, Pimenta captivates audiences with their infectious grooves and expressive improvisation.
