Why do dolphins surf — just for fun or is there more to it? Join us on Wednesday September 17 2025 6:00–7:00PM at the Manhattan Beach Library for a free event where surfers scientists and ocean lovers swap stories about sharing waves with our favorite flippered locals.
We’ll kick things off with amazing footage of dolphins riding waves then dive into a lively panel featuring Keani Honda-Snow John Dorsey Jason Shanks and Eric Martin moderated by John Roberts. Panelists will share stories reflect on their encounters with dolphins and offer their perspectives on this fascinating behavior and what it reveals about the bond between humans and marine life.
