Ross Elementary Exhibit Reveal
About this Event
In 2025, 4th grade students at Ross Elementary School began a year-long project to uncover their school’s history. Led by Ms. Lisa Juriga, the students visited the Charles Sumner School Museum and Archives, examined old photographs and news articles, and interviewed long-time community members.
The purpose of their research was to form an accurate and compelling story of their school and share their findings with the broader community. The final exhibit–created in partnership with The Story of Our Schools– is now installed and ready to be shared!
We look forward to welcoming students, families, and friends to this memorable occasion. Doors open at 5pm with a short speaking program at 5:30pm. Light refreshments will be served.
The Ross PTA is grateful to Dupont Circle ANC 2B, Dupont Circle Citizens Association, Friends of Stead Park, Swift Cleaners, and our school community and neighbors for their generous financial support of this project.
