Rosebud Rebloomed
About this Event
PLEASE READ THIS IN ITS ENTIRETY THEIR ARE CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR
PURCHASE GENERAL ADMISSION AND AN ENTRY INTO EACH EVENT YOU WISH TO COMPETE IN.
This year we have two days and three intermediate events!
Longsword, Rapier, and Saber!!
OPEN POOLS WILL BE JUDGE BY YOU
- In order to run a larger event we need help with judging the first rounds of pools. the expectation of competing is that you will judge the pool after yours.
- The final pool of the ring will judge the first pool of the ring.
- With this change we are also lowering the cost of general admission and ticket prices!
- Our staff will still Direct all pools and we will provide judges for elims and finals.
What qualifies an intermediate fencer?
- Less then 4 years total fencing experience
- Less then 3 years experience in the weapon set you are competing in
- Have not place top 4 in a serious event (placing in a whacky tournament or a for fun type event does not disqualify you)
- Your HEMA Ratings weighted rating is below: 1350 in Longsword, 1450 in Saber and 1450 in Rapier
Big changes this year!
- We are renting the entire inflatable soccer field, this is significantly more space!
- Vegan requirements have been lifted by the venue; however no pork or seafood is allowed.
- We will have a free spar area
- We will have vendors
- ID Checks will not be required to attend the event, however indoor bathrooms are in the main building and will require an ID check to enter that building, Porta Potties will be provided if you do not want to do an ID check.
Finally, rules will be very similar to Tournament of Roses with some specialty rules for saber and rapier.
Full official rule sets will be released soon.
