Known by many names, the box tie is one of the fundamental ties and a basis for many of the structures created in Shibari and Western/Fusion bondage. Think of the classic image with the hands bound behind the back, with rope wraps securing the arms.
Aesthetically pleasing, the box tie is also functional and highly effective for scenes or “bedroom activities”.
Box ties can be modified, while maintaining its basic functionality and structure.
Despite this adaptability, conventional Box ties aren’t viable for everybody. Enter the Reverse box tie. RBT’s move the hands to the front of the body, thereby making the tie applicable to a wider range of bodies.
This class will cover the basics of the box tie and reverse box tie, and will be beginner friendly.
This class is open to everyone 21 and up. All genders, orientations, presentations and bodies are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to choose their own level of participation, with no requirements or expectations. Bottoms and tops are welcome.
This will be a no photo space, and this isn’t a play party. The focus will be on learning and refining skills.
Bring a few pieces of rope, safety scissors, comfortable clothing and water, and blanket if you like.
