Join Coastal Action and Angela Cummings for an afternoon of making art out of recycled fishing rope! During this frayed fun, we’ll also be enjoying some refreshments and discussing Coastal Action’s perspective-gathering project centred on the marine environment around the LaHave Islands down to Port Medway. Coastal Action is gathering community voices to determine how people use the area, why they love it, and how they’d like to continue to use it in the future.
We encourage a cash donation of $10 to help offset costs of art supplies. The first 20 participants to register will create a framed piece of art, and additional participants will have the option to decorate glass bulbs with shredded rope (just in time for a perfect holiday ornament).
Join us from 12:30 pm-4:30 pm on November 16th at the Broad Cove Community Hall for some knotty creations and coastal celebrations!
