Rooted in the season - Lammas foraging and nature connection walk.
About this Event
Celebrate the abundance of late summer with a relaxed and welcoming guided foraging walk through the beautiful Swift Valley Nature Reserve.
Join me, Leanne, founder of Wild Routes, for a relaxed and welcoming morning discovering the wild foods, folklore and seasonal wonders growing all around us. I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with nature in a way that is accessible, inspiring and rooted in respect for the natural world.
Inspired by Lammas, the ancient festival of the first harvest, we’ll explore the edible and medicinal plants of the season, uncover fascinating folklore, and slow down to notice the changing rhythms of nature.
This isn’t just about learning what’s edible. It’s about reconnecting with nature, becoming more observant of the world around us, and discovering the stories woven into our native plants and landscapes. Along the way, you’ll enjoy seasonal wild food tasters and freshly prepared herbal teas inspired by the landscape around us.

Families are very welcome. Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult throughout the walk to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.
If you have any allergies, dietary requirements or additional needs, please get in touch before the event so I can do my best to accommodate you.
All Wild Routes sessions are underpinned by the principles of sustainability, safe foraging practice and respect for the law. Any foraging carried out during the session will be mindful, minimal and seasonal. Wild food tasting is entirely optional, and learning safe identification is at the heart of every walk.
This is an all-weather event and will go ahead in most conditions. In the event of severe weather where safety may be compromised, participants will be contacted with alternative arrangements.
Whether you’re completely new to foraging or looking to deepen your knowledge, you’ll leave with fresh skills, seasonal inspiration and a deeper connection with the natural world.
I look forward to welcoming you to Wild Routes and sharing the abundance of the season with you.
