About this Event

🌿 ROOTED IN HOPE:
A Community Sound Bath for Rest, Renewal, and Connection

If life has felt heavy, noisy, or hard to carry lately, this evening is for you.

In recognition of National Wellness Month and in partnership with The Gray Matters Collective, Rooted in Hope offers a restorative sound bath journey created to help calm the nervous system, soften stress, and bring the body and mind back into a steadier rhythm.

Not everything that sustains us is visible.

Beneath the surface, roots hold steady. They draw nourishment from the earth, anchor us through changing conditions, and continue their quiet work even when growth cannot yet be seen.

Hope can be like that too.

Hope is not always certain. Sometimes it is the next breath. The willingness to remain present. The support of another person. A quiet inner strength that reminds us we are still here and do not have to carry everything alone.

If you have been carrying more than feels visible, this is a space to exhale.
A space to soften.
A space to step out of the noise and return to yourself.

Why This Evening Matters:

Many of us are carrying more than anyone else can see.

Stress, grief, uncertainty, loneliness, change, and the constant pressure to keep going can leave the body braced, the mind overstimulated, and the nervous system unable to fully rest.

This evening is an invitation to set down some of what you have been carrying, receive care, and return to your own center.

The Gray Matters Collective is a local nonprofit committed to strengthening community, reducing stigma, and empowering people to become mental health and suicide prevention advocates through education and connection.

Guided by professional musician and Certified Therapeutic Sound Practitioner Lynne Stukart, this 75-minute immersive journey moves through the body in ways that reach beyond words, thought, and effort.

This Evening is Designed for You

Rest is not indulgence. It is a form of self-care.

Hope does not have to be loud to be powerful.

Sometimes hope is found in a moment of stillness. Sometimes it begins when the body finally feels safe enough to soften.

This sound bath journey invites you to rest deeply, reconnect with your inner steadiness, and return rooted in hope.

🌿 Leave steadier.
🌿 Leave softer.
🌿 Leave rooted in hope.

🎟 Tickets are limited. If this feels like the rest your body and mind have been asking for, reserve your place on Eventbrite today.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience in which participants are immersed in the sounds and vibrations of instruments such as crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, flutes, tuning forks, and other resonant instruments.

During the experience, participants typically rest comfortably either lying down or seated, often with their eyes closed, while the practitioner creates a carefully paced sound journey. The combination of sustained tones, gentle rhythms, vibration, and silence can help quiet mental chatter, ease tension, and support a meditative state.

People often attend sound baths to:

  • reduce stress and encourage relaxation
  • calm an overstimulated mind
  • support nervous-system regulation
  • release physical and emotional tension
  • improve rest and sleep
  • feel more grounded, centered, and connected

Experiences vary from person to person. Some participants report feeling deeply relaxed, emotionally lighter, physically more comfortable, or clearer and more peaceful afterward.

Sound baths are gentle and non-invasive, and no previous meditation or sound-healing experience is necessary. You are welcome to participate in whatever position feels most comfortable for your body.

What should I bring to a Sound Bath?

Chairs are provided, and floor space is available for those who prefer to lie down.

You are welcome to bring:

  • a yoga mat, blanket, or zero-gravity chair
  • a pillow or cushion for head, neck, or knee support
  • an eye covering
  • a water bottle
  • a journal or personal crystals
  • any other comfort item that will help you relax fully

It's recommended to bring a few essentials to ensure you're comfortable and fully immersed in the experience. Here are some ideas: a yoga mat, cushion, or blanket to lie on comfortably, a zero gravity folding chair, a pillow or cushion for your head and neck support, an eye mask, a water bottle, personal items like crystals, and an open heart and mind.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring whatever you need to feel warm, supported, and at ease throughout the experience.
