To mark the final day of Zacht, Katinka we are pleased to host a special conversation bringing together Katinka Lampe and Lena Bril, moderated by Cathelijne Blok.
Taking place on Sunday, July 12, the event will offer an opportunity to reflect on the themes of the exhibition and to hear from different voices working across art, culture, and storytelling.
Lena Bril (1992) is a Dutch journalist and writer whose work explores human struggles and the search for meaning. Her essays have appeared in major Dutch publications, including de Volkskrant and De Groene Amsterdammer. She also writes a biweekly advice column for Trouw. In 2024, she published her nonfiction debut In Therapy, which examines why so many people seek help from therapists and coaches. Through her newsletter, she shares her ongoing exploration of personal growth and resilience with thousands of readers.
Cathelijne Blok is a Dutch art historian, journalist, and cultural commentator. She writes for publications including NRC, hosts the television program Kunst in het Wild (NPO 2), and produces podcasts such as Maffe Meesterwerken for Omroep MAX. Together with journalist Milou Deelen, she created the documentary series Het F-woord, exploring feminism. Blok is the author of several books, including But Is It Art? (2024) and A World Without Art Is a World Without a Soul. She is currently working on a book about art and mental well-being.
