Print Your Own Piece of Blue with Sunlight and Plants
(Chinese is below)
After much planning, we are so excited to finally launch our Botanical Cyanotype Workshop! Since moving to the Netherlands, we’ve completely fallen in love with the sunshine and plants here. Exploring this new environment made us deeply reflect on the concept of "Memory, Home & Belonging"—how we carry our roots with us, and how nature helps us anchor ourselves in a new place.
Plants often hold deep connections to our personal journeys and our memories. We’ve been constantly thinking about how to capture this relationship through the cyanotype process, turning our creation into a "Memory Collective" project, and sharing this beautiful experience with more of you!
In this intimate, small-group workshop, you’ll enjoy a relaxing and laid-back creative session. At the end, you'll get to take home your very own handmade cyanotype prints (3-4 pieces). We won't just guide you through the basic principles of cyanotype; we’ll also share practical tips so you can continue creating at home!
Most importantly, by getting hands-on together in this shared space of collective memory, you’ll rediscover the joy of making. You'll experience firsthand that art is fun, meaningful, and for everyone.
Join us on the afternoons of July 12 and July 19! Let’s use the sunshine and plants to print a shade of blue that is uniquely yours, and perhaps, find a little piece of belongings in the process.
📍 Location: KNSM Eiland, Amsterdam (We’ll send you the full address after you sign up!)
👥 Who: Small groups (limited spots) • Beginners welcome • No experience necessary
⏳ Format: 3-hour workshop • One session
🎨 Materials: All materials are provided, including light-sensitive solution and heavyweight watercolour papers (3-4 pieces per person).

🌳 Cyanotype Workshop | Print Your Own Piece of Blue with Sunlight and Plants
Cyanotype is one of the oldest and most approachable printing techniques in the world. No darkroom, no complicated equipment. Just sunlight, a touch of chemistry, and the flowers and leaves right in front of you, leaving behind deep, beautiful blue impressions.
In this workshop, we’ll create together using flowers, leaves, and grasses to make botanical prints that are entirely your own. Through the slow, mindful process of arranging these botanicals and exposing them to the sun, we invite you to trace back your own life experiences and reflect on how plants intertwine with your personal stories. What you bring home isn’t just a few finished pieces. It’s a physical imprint of your memory and a new way of seeing the world. You might find yourself pausing on the street afterwards to study the outline of a leaf, or the way a clump of grass sways in the wind.

📍 地點: 阿姆斯特丹 KNSM Eiland(報名後我們會將詳細地址寄給您!)
