Riverside Park Friends Group

The Riverside Park friends group gathers once a month at Aleppo St, Providence, RI 02909 along the Woonasquatucket River to care for the multi-use trail, park space, playground, community garden and bike camp space.

We’re looking for Providence friends and neighbors to join us for these clean-up and landscaping days. Together, we’ll keep this beloved stretch of the Woonasquatucket River Greenway clean, green, and welcoming for everyone. Whether we’re picking up litter, planting, weeding, or spreading mulch, your helping hands make a big difference in keeping the park beautiful and safe for all who visit.

The Riverside Park Friends Group is a great opportunity to meet neighbors and spend time with fellow river stewards.

Each event is led by our River Ranger team, our Greenway maintenance crew.

We’ll be outside working unless extreme weather requires cancellation. Please dress appropriately for outdoor work, including sun protection, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Bring water and a snack if you’d like. We’ll provide all tools and equipment needed for the day’s projects.
