The may your anger be loving spoken word tour occuring on the 16th shares the raw story of Mx. Asher (they/them) a transgender, sexual assault survivor, and former sex worker, and former Floridian as they grapple with working within political systems.
This is the launch of part II of the tour, titled Sawgrass, exploring racism, fascism, classism, transphobia, and more through the lens of a misunderstood Floridian.
Quill will be taking her own spin on complicated emotions and authenticity during their performance.
About the artists
Mx. Asher (they/them) is a Rhode Island based spoken word artist and memoirist known for vulnerable storytelling exploring themes of community, current events, love, and power.
They were voted Motif Magazine’s 2026 Favorite Personal Storyteller and runner-up in social justice spoken word. Asher’s work has been published in Writers Resist, Discretionary Love, new words press - citizen trans* {project}: voices in trump america, and Unlikely Stories. They have performed at events such as PRONK!, Trans Day of Visibility, Warren Folks Fest, and more.
Asher’s work reconciles their lived experience as a neurodivergent, transgender sexual assault survivor and former sex worker with their twenty-year career in government, elections, and advocacy. Born and raised twenty minutes from Mar-A-Lago and Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion, they are currently using their art to process the exploitation of their community.
Quill (she/they) has a background in expressive arts therapy, disability advocacy and fundraising coordination. They write transformative soliloquies, bringing wounds into light. Through their words they can transmute grief into acceptance and abundance. They were recently featured in The Sweet Little Goddess Show, performing "Warrior Women" in Pagan and Athenian-inspired garb. The poem explored reflections of a fallen allyship. Quill hopes that their work fosters collective healing.
